Hi,
is it planned to support Windows 8 Xaml and .Net Development for the Reporting tools?

Kind regards
Benjamin

Hello Benjamin,

At that point we do not plan having Windows 8 XAML ReportViewer. The latest released viewer for now is the HTML5 Report Viewer accompanied by the Reporting REST service.

We will count your post as a request for such feature in future.

I was hoping for you to do a reportviewer for win8.1 xaml. As you had no intention of doing this I did not bother to renew my subscription as this was vital to a number of projects.

Hi Adrian,

The option we can suggest you for your apps is to use the HTML5 Report Viewer and the Reporting REST service. More details are available in this forum thread.

Hello Ade,

You can consume the Reporting REST Service in code and return the rendered report to the user. If you need the viewer, you can use a WebView for instance and display a page, but the export and print features would not work in the context of WinRT XAML application out of the box.

Stef
