Hello Rainford,
In Q3 2011 we introduced new layout system - Interactive Layout which produces a more user-friendly and easy to use layout. The paging mechanism of the Interactive View is based on soft page breaks, where the report is optimized for screen-based viewing and delivery.
However, if you switch to Print Preview, the viewer will display the report in a manner that resembles as close as possible the layout you will get after printing. If you would like to use the Print Preview as default you can set the ViewMode property to ViewMode. PrintPreview.

As the WPF report viewer utilizes RadControls for WPF, when you upgrade to a new Telerik Reporting version, you should upgrade the RadControls for WPF assemblies manually as well. The logic is, should you use Telerik Reporting Q2 2012, you should use the corresponding RadControls for WPF i.e. Q2 2012. We make it even easier for you by providing those assemblies as part of our examples (as we demo all report viewers). You can find the required corresponding versions in the Telerik Reporting installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\Reporting Q2 2012\Examples\CSharp\WpfDemo\bin).
All the best,
