RadSideDrawer is not invoking the DrawerOpening and DrawerOpened events

Hi Team,

I am using RadSideDrawer, and found that the RadSideDrawer is not invoking the DrawerOpening and DrawerOpened events when making the DrawerContent visible by sliding the screen.

 

CODE:

 

Telerik version: 7.1.0.

Device: IPad Pro (3rd generation), IOS 18.5.

 

Please provide if there is any workaround.

Praveen opened a forum thread here for the same behavior: https://www.telerik.com/forums/event-sidedrawer-draweropening-for-radsidedrawer-not-calling-from-xaml-cs-file-for-the-ios-platfrom - there is a sample app which you can test on your side.

I have also requested the following information and test scenarios in my comment from 3rd of July 2025: 

Hi, 

Based on the code it seems you have a handler to access the native control. Also the drawer transition type is set to a value.

I have involved the QA team and they tested on iPhone real device in release mode and the event fires as expected. I have attached a video.

Could you please test the following:

1. Remove the handler and test whether this will solve the issue.

2. Remove the drawer transition and test.

2. Remove the drawer transition and the handler and test.

I have attached the video from the internal test the QA team and I did in release mode on iPhone real device.

Let me know the results from the test and modify the app so the issue can be reproduced in it.

We tried all the following steps:

1. Remove the handler and test whether this will solve the issue.

still facing the issue.

Telerik version: 7.1.0.

And the sample project is not loading.

Use latest version of Telerik MAUI 11.0.0 and let me know the results. 

7.1.0 version is old version, so I suggest you use latest versions to get latest features and improvements.
Also test with Telerik MAUI 11.0.0, .NET 9 project and .NET MAUI 9.0.81. 

The sample project works on my side so I am not sure why it doesn't on your side. If you can send more details.
