Watched a telerik video recently where the presenter demonstrated RadPageLayout and responsive web page design by slowly reducing the size of his Chrome browser window while viewing the telerik website. At each viewport breakpoint the page reconfigured responsively as expected. Tried this with my
Chrome browser and it worked for me too; but not when using the IE8 browser (telerik web page just truncates). Since telerik supports IE 6+ should I be seeing the same behavior in IE8 as in Chrome?

Hello, Tim.
Media queries, which are used in PageLayout are not supported in IE8 and below. You can do little to enable this behaviour.
It is possible, however, with some limitations in mind, when targeting a specific subset of older browsers (say only IE8) to achieve fluid design. But not responsive.
To target IE7 you will have more limitations and for IE 6.. well.. it's going to be much harder.
And speaking for IE6, you should know that's it's nearing EOL. On April 8th Microsoft officially ends support for Windows XP (worldwide, except on selected ATMs), which is the last operating system that supports it. So you should seriously consider if you really need to allocate the effort to make the design work on IE6 / XP.
Can you attach a rough sketch of what you want to achieve and we'll see if something can be done about older borwsers.

Don't have a specific situation that needs help now. Was just trying out the new control after installing 2014 Q1. Thanks for this complete answer.

I am interested in seeing if IE8 could be made to redraw div's under one another if the page width is reduced below a certain width. Currently I am stuck with IE8 as the company only have this browser deployed. Most of my layouts are three column and I love the way that I can easily specify this using RadPageLayout. It would be great if on resize of window if width is less than say 800px the three columns are displayed one under each other. Can this be done?
