pageLoad fired after ajaxRequest

Hi,
After calling ajaxRequest on a RadAjaxManager, the method pageLoad gets called. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do/configure so this does not happen?

I am new to Ajax. I just found out that pageLoad gets triggered also on partial updates, so it is not directly related to the Telerik control. Checking for if (!args.get_isPartialLoad()) allow implementing page initialization only when loading for the first time.
