Hi, I've got some problems with overlaping labels in pie graphs and legends when I put them in bottom center. Another problem is the overlapping among data labels when the values are small (position outside end). How can I solve that?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Augusto,

As far as I remember you have managed to solve your issue with the overlapping legend by adding padding to it. About the labels of pies with small values, we are working on improving the label rendering in future. For now you can add some order criteria to your data to avoid having small slices next to each other.

Have you tried the new visualization options in Telerik Reporting Q2 2013? You can get them from your account.

I already made a new ticket for this, but is this already fixed in the last report designer?

I need both these options, else the report designer is useless as for what i am using it for! Making reports!

IntelligentLabelsEnabled = true
ShowLabelConnectors = true

And it's not an option to avoid small pieces of the pie next to each other!
I just need these property settings.. so can you please tell me they are build already and where can i find these.

Fandy

Hello Fandy,

The Intelligent Labels and Label Connectors features are available for the Chart item which is obsolete and no longer supported.

The currently used Graph item does not have Intelligent Labels and Label Connectors features. Currently, the Graph item does not support intelligent labels which can re-position themselves automatically if they are overlapping. However, this issue is logged in our system for improvement and further discussion on how this can be achieved and implemented. At the moment you have the following options to control the position of the labels in the Graph report item:

- change the DataPointLabelAngle property in order to rotate the labels so they don't overlap;
- add DataPointLabelConditionalFormatting; More information can be found in the Conditional Formatting help article;
- set properties such as font name, font size, etc. under the DataPointLabelStyle property;

You can try setting different values and combinations for these properties, so that the labels are positioned without overlapping. We believe rotating the angle of the label and setting a smaller font size will help a lot for this particular scenario. Currently, there is no option to automatically place the labels and account for the overlapping, so you will need to tweak the properties manually and find which configuration works best for you.
