We want to modify the default template of the popup mini calender/date calender of the kendo scheduler. How can we get the instance of this calender component within this scheduler ?

Hi,
Currently the desired behavior is not supported out of the box and custom solution would be needed (which is entirely up to the developer to implement and support), however I would suggest to share your idea at Kendo UI UserVoice to allow other users vote for it. Most voted ideas are included in next Kendo UI releases.
