Hi Kashif,

The "InCell" editing functionality along with a Kendo UI DropDownList editor for one of the model fields has been demonstrated in the following demo (more specifically the Category column):

https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid/editing-custom

If this is not the exact scenario you are aiming for, feel free to share additional details on your current set-up and the expected outcome.

Hi Kashif,

I have tested the provided demo with the R1 2015 version. It appears to me that it works as expected.

If an update has to be initiated, it would be best if you upgrade to the latest version. At the time being, the latest version is 2019.1.220.  With every version new features are introduced, a lot of enhancements and bug fixes.

Let me know in case you encounter any issues with installing the latest version or with implementing the suggested functionality.

do you have an example for .NET core 3.1 using a simple dropdownlist (values from a simple list of strings)?

Hi Dan,

I am happy to share with you that the Kendo UI widgets are compatible with the latest version of the ASP.NET Core framework. Therefore, all of the live demos that are shared on our website are applicable to the ASP.NET Core 3.1.

https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-core/dropdownlist/index

Also, we have a public GitHub repository where you could find any additional examples apart from the ones in the live demos:

https://github.com/telerik/ui-for-aspnet-core-examples

In case you encounter any issues with replicating the case on your side, let me know.

The Question was for ASPCORE and you send a Jquery example as a response. This is why cannot stand that I am forced to use this by my company.

Hi Ray,

Initially, the owner of the thread has submitted the ticket in the jQuery section of our products. After I figured out that the actual product of use is for ASP.NET Core, I moved the thread from the jQuery to the ASP.NET Core section. That is why my latest response has links to ASP.NET Core examples and the first one has a link to a jQuery resource.

With that aside, you could find the ASP.NET Core implementation of the example in the following link:

https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-core/grid/editing-custom
