Does the richtextbox support header and footer. I tried importing a msword document with an image header. The richtextbox was able to import the entire document including the images on the document correctly. However the image on the header section was not imported.

Hello Abraham,

Currently, RadRichTextBox does not support header and footer functionality. A feature request for such is already available in our Public Issue Tracking System. Feel free to add your vote for it here: http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/details/Issue=9748.

I hope that you find this information useful.

All the best,

Hi

Is there any update on this?

If I open help ticket, will it speed up the process? I have deadline to my application to 1/6/2013 and I can't proceed without this function.

your help is appreciated.

Hi Rami,

Opening a support ticket will grant you a quick response from us. However, it will not increase the priority of this feature request in our To-Do list. What you can do to increase the priority of the feature, if you have not already done so, is vote for the PITS item my colleague Stefan has given in his reply. At this time I am not able to provide you with a time frame in which this feature will be implemented.

Nikolay

Still no support for headers/footers when using WinForms? I tried the links to the issue tracking system, but I'm redirected to the Support and Learning page.

Hello Martin,

Headers and footers are still not supported in RadRichText box and I am not able to provide a time frame for this.

In regards to the Public issue tracking system, it was migrated to a Feedback Portal back in January and all items were transferred. Here is a link to the item at hand: http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/154/Feedback/Details/112613.

I hope that you find this information useful.

Stefan

Hi Stefan. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm actually trying to dynamically add header information when exporting the content of a RichBoxText to PDF/DOCX. Perhaps that is possible without support for headers in the RichBoxText? Or would I need to update to WPF and use the RichTextBox found here as it seems to support header/footer information?

Hello,

Currently, it will not be possible to add the header/footer information dynamically either. In the next release, we are planning on releasing a libraries allowing for creation and modification of such files (see roadmap).

Alternative option I can offer is to use the WPF RichTextBox control via ElementHost in your application, until we improve the winforms version.

I hope that you find this information useful.

Stefan
