We're excited to announce that our development pipeline includes the AI Prompt Component, a cutting-edge addition to our component suite designed to integrate seamlessly with AI technologies. This component is crafted to facilitate the easy creation and management of AI-powered prompts, enabling developers to harness the full potential of AI within their applications.

Starting with our upcoming releases, Telerik UI for WinForms will exclusively support .NET Framework versions 4.6.2 and above. The last release supporting older framework versions is the one scheduled for the end of January. After that, we will provide one full year of our outstanding support service for this release.

We strongly encourage you to migrate your applications to a framework version supported by Microsoft (4.6.2 or above) or to migrate your application to the .NET platform targeting version 6.0 or above. Upgrading to a supported .NET Framework version will enable you to take full advantage of the latest features, performance improvements, and security enhancements provided by both Microsoft and Telerik. Our goal with every release is not only to add new controls but also to keep enhancing the functionality and performance of existing Telerik UI for WinForms controls. That’s why in the upcoming releases we have planned several new features in the GridView pipeline, including support for showing summary row in collapsed groups, new event notifying when the columns are being generated, and other improvements based on your feedback. We know that the GridView is one of the controls that you count on the most in managing and presenting data in your apps and we want to offer you the optimal developer experience when it comes to rendering tables of data.

.NET 8, the successor of .NET 7, will receive long-term support (LTS) for a duration of three years. It is anticipated to be officially released in early November 2023. The Telerik UI for WinForms team is committed to offering immediate support for .NET 8 upon its release.
