Q3'09 continues to follow our trend of enhancing the RadControls performance and presentation so as to effortlessly deliver dashing line-of-business applications. On the Telerik Presentation Framework (TPF) level we brought significant boosts in applications’ load and dispose times. The theme mechanism and TPF painting engine improvements have further resulted in reduced application load time and a more refined WinForms toolset.
To give you better text formatting options, the suite adds improved and faster text rendering and a completely new HTML markup editor. RadScheduler, RadGridView, RadComboBox and RadListBox are among the major controls that received improvements during Q3 2009.

Among the highlights of the release are:
- Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 Support
RadControls for WinForms provide support for Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2. Read more - Performance optimizations by refactoring the life cycle of TPF's RadElement we introduce better RadControls application’s load and dispose times by optimizing the loading and the disposing of the controls’ element trees. Depending on the used controls end-users could face up to 300% faster load times. An improved HTML markup rendering text rendering in Q3 2009 yields optimizations in the HTML parsing speed of up to 5 times, which has a positive impact on the HTML text rendering speed, which is now 30% faster.
- RadMarkupEditor (new user control) - a WYSIWYG editor which has been added on framework level. It is *not* a standalone control. Rather, the HTML-like text formatting is available only for formatting the text elements in our controls.
- RadScrollablePanel (new control) –a variation of RadPanel, but customized to support themable scrollbars. The control is composed of two RadScrollBars and a RadPanel that represents a container for other controls and provides the scrolling functionality.
- ComboBox/ListBox come with enhanced data binding which results in faster binding, support for large number of items, and memory footprint improvements.
- RadForm and RadRibbonForm feature support for active and inactive states, AutoScroll and themed scrollbars.
- RadGridView now offers a new and superior scrolling mechanism in hierarchy mode
- RadTreeView provides localization support.
- New popup behavior for RadRibbonBar. The control also offers Group Collapse Order functionality.
- RadScheduler gets a new resource grouping feature and improved rendering feedback and better responsiveness in all drag-and-drop operations.
