Gantt chart event from the task selection

Hi,

 

Is it possible to get event when user click/double click task on Gantt chart (grid/timeline). We should update some properties based on selected task.

 

Is it possible to create new dialog for popup editing?

Hi Pasi,

We have an open feature request regarding a double click event on our Public Feedback Portal - OnTaskDoubleClick event for the Gantt tasks.

I voted there on your behalf and increased the priority of the item.

As soon as we expose the event, you will be able to show a custom popup.

In the meantime, if we come up with an approach earlier, I will post it in the above public item.

Hi Máté,

Thank you for demonstrating interest in this feature.

I can confirm that this feature is not yet implemented and isn’t part of the short-term roadmap, since other higher-priority items have been prioritized.

In the meantime, one of our clients mentioned in the comments of the public post that they managed to make something similar partly work by using custom task templates with a div @onclick="@CustomAction". You can give that approach a try to see whether it can serve as a temporary solution for you as well.

Yeah, I've started to trying with the same solution, it's not working yet, but I'm on it.
