Hello,
I have a dynamic report that automatically generates columns and rows on a table based on a dynamic datasource. But the problem comes in with hundreds of records - these records are all shown in one page. And the UI lags when trying to scroll down. In the Silverlight Report Viewer, there is a paging control but I couldn't figure out how to make this work. Please advise. Thanks!

Hello Telerik,
Referring to this link http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/reporting/telerik-reporting/all-the-table-data-in-one-page.aspx, can I really not set the paging property when using a table? Please confirm. Or, is there any other workaround? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mae,
If you check the last post from the forum thread you have referenced, you would find a solution for your question, namely:
In Q3 2011 we introduced Interactive view and Print Preview for all report viewers, so for those of you that need to show the report in your app as it would be printed, set the ViewMode property of the viewers to PrintPreview.

Steve

Hello Steve,
I understand that. But our dynamic report has Interactive Sorting too. So though we display the report in Print Preview by default, if the user wants to sort it, he still shall click the Interactive View, right? And then, the issue will still be there - the UI will still lag because of the numerous records. So, I am just kind of thinking (or hoping) that maybe, for the latest version, you have come up with an update or solution.
But then, thanks for the confirmation. If you have some more advice, please let me know. It is very important for us to keep the current features because we are upgrading our software. Actually, we have converted from Microsoft Reporting to Silverlight Telerik Reporting. How can we explain to users that we have this feature before when we were still using MS Reporting, but in the latest version with Telerik, it has been removed?

Hi Mae,
Have you used the interactive sorting approach from this forum thread by using Drillthrough Report Action? If that is the case, then you should not have to switch to Interactive view, as the DrillThrough action would work in both Interactive and Print Preview view modes, you can verify this in the Employee Sales Summary report.
