Hi all,
We have a strange problem with the Telerik Scheduler. The drag and drop event is working fine in FF and IE, but in Chrome it freezes after the first successful D&D. This is not the case in other browsers.
It is more strange that it doesn't throw any JS nor code behind exception. It looks like it doesn't invoke the event the second time the user tries to D&D any appointment on the scheduler. Reloading the page (f5, Ctrl +f5) seems to make the D&D available but once the user D&D something again, it freezes and he/she needs to reload the page again. This is causing a big problem knowing that our production release is coming soon.
I tried uprgrading to the latest 2011.2.915.40 version but that didn't solved the problem.
This issue has been awhile and maybe some of our team has already reported something similar but I wasn't able to find it.
I would really appreciate if someone can share a solution or experience how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your reply. We switched to the latest hot fix you've sent me but it doesn't fix the issue.
I will share some details with you which might help you fixing it. I was debugging the JS code, and the first time I drag and drop the appointment it calls the function onAppointmentMoving(sender, args). The second time it doesn't even fire the event.
The strangest thing is that works when we remove the update panel from the page, so maybe the update panel is doing the problem (but it doesn't do that in FF or IE). However it is necessary to have that update panel on the page.

Thanks for your help and I hope you'll find a solution soon.

I'm using the latest Telerik.Web.UI.dll (2011.3.1305.40), but this is still an issue for me. Is there a resolution or workaround for this?

Actually, I may have found the issue...The OnClientMoveEnd() was using 'window.event' which works fine in IE.

We have similar behavior of the Drag and Drop feature in Chrome. Once a reschedule is done with drag and drop all other appointments including the one which was changed are frozen and I need to refresh the page. This is not an issue in Firefox. I've tried the build you've proposed above but its not working.
Please tell me that you have done some progress on this issue lately.

We have fixed a few issues related to Chrome with the last two releases, so I suggest you try the latest version from Q2 2012 SP1 and check this helps for your problem.

I tried that version and it is really fixed. Why these issues are not resolved for the older versions? Are you trying to tell me that I would need to renew my licence in order to get this bug fixed? My licence for the previous version is not even expired yet.

Hi Allen,

As far as we are aware all the known issues connected with drag and drop freezing of the appointments have been fixed. If you still observe any unusual behavior would you please share the exact steps that will help us reproduce them in some of our on-line demos or just share a video of the issue so we could inspect it.

Plamen,
we  too are having this issue, Drag and Drop  does not work in Chrome but works fine in IE and Firefox. Chrome has both  java script and cookies  enabled, do I need any other settings to make this work?

Thanks,
Prava
