Hi,

I need to be able to diagram relational objects and would obviously prefer to stay within the Telerik fold for consistency sake but I can't find a means of showing relationships between objects (like in the attached image - example from here http://familyshow.codeplex.com/).  I need to be able to customise the lines representing the relationships and also customise the object shapes and appearance (i.e. similar to RadDiagram).

I need to be able to provide this functionality web-based and on any device.

Are there any plans to provide this functionality either with Kendo UI or with the web-based RadControls?

If not, can we get something added to the road map.

If not, does anyone have any ideas how I can deliver on this requirement?

Thanks,
Martyn

Hello Martyn,

Currently diagramming/relations visualization is not supported by our Kendo UI DataViz suite.

The good news is this is planned for our next major release Q1 2014, due in mid March (see public roadmap). A public Beta of it is expected at the very end of February, hence I encourage you to give it a spin and share your feedback. You may also want to cast your vote for diagramming component in this public entry on our UserVoice portal.

That IS good news - thanks Sebastian.  How do I get the beta at the end of Feb - do I need to sign up for it or look out for it somewhere?

Hello again Martyn,

The public Beta will be available to active Kendo UI trial and commercial license holders, regardless of the particular Kendo UI license they own. It will appear in your site account's downloads section, under the respective Kendo UI product you have (in file download group named 'Beta').

There'll also be a blog post on our blogs once the Beta is out. Do not hesitate to share your feedback about it.

Best regards,
Sebastian
