Hi,

I've discovered that there is a feature "columnMenu", available for JQuery Grid.

Is it possible to have it in Kendo for Angular Grid?

Thanks,

Yuriy

Hi Yuriy,

Unfortunately, the Column Menu feature is still not available in the Kendo UI for Angular Grid. Our long term goal is to achieve feature parity between the Kendo UI for jQuery widgets and their Angular counter parts, but this is still work in progress. We will be working on a separate Menu component for our next big release, scheduled for May:

... and once ready, we will consider using it as a base for a Grid column menu feature. There are several feature requests for a Grid column menu feature in our UserVoice portal that you can support to help us estimate the customer demand for certain features and enhancements, and prioritize accordingly when updating our roadmap. Thank you in advance:

Meanwhile I can suggest using some custom solution for an outside component that can be used to handle Grid operations like sorting, hiding/showing columns, etc. from one centralized command UI. Here is a sample implementation of the described approach:

I hope such an approach could be an acceptable temporary solution until a dedicated Grid column menu feature is released.
