“We can’t try that Agile thing here, we need to have <fill in the blank>” Does that sound familiar? That is just one variation of the many Agile Myths that I hear from people all over the world who are working to bring agile processes into their organization. Migrating to agile can be hard. Fighting FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) that is based on incorrect assumptions and misunderstanding can make the process that much more difficult. Wouldn’t it be great to have a resource that collects the most popular agile myths, lines them up, and knocks them down one by one?...
Being one of the first controls in the RadControls for Windows Phone suite, RadDataBoundListBox has been continuously extended and eventually evolved into a powerful, must-have component for each Windows Phone application. Providing features like Data Virtualization, Multiple Selection, Item Animations, this control can easily be set up to fit into many application scenarios and handle much of the work one would have to do using just the native components. Q2 2012 comes with some further enhancements one of which is the support for reordering the items in the control. The Item Reorder functionality allows your end users to change the position of the items in the...

Agile teams are always looking to reduce waste so that they can produce customer value quicker and more efficiently. For example, the Scrum builds in a meeting called the Sprint Retrospective to give teams an opportunity to reflect on their own efficiencies – allowing them to reinforce practices that are going well, and identify and resolve issues that are causing waste. Scrum teams also have a time-boxed meeting called a Daily Scrum, which among other things, asks “what are your impediments” to help the team quickly identify things that are getting in their way (aka waste) so it can be ...

We suppose you have already read the Q2 2012 Announcement blog for WinForms and have noticed the three new great controls that we developed for you – RadChartView, RadAutoCompleteBox and RadTextBoxControl. We also feel, however, that one of the big new things about Q2 2012 may remain unnoticed in the bunch of innovations. Therefore, we decided to dedicate a separate blog post to it. This improvement concerns one of the most important things for each and every application – performance. Namely, in our latest release we introduced a new and improved theming engine. It minimizes the startup time for your application and...
We are very happy to announce the Q2 2012 release of Telerik Reporting. The release includes the official version of the standalone Telerik Report Designer. There is no beta tag any more and we have added support for sub-reports, navigation actions (such as drill-down and drill-through), and many UI updates. Some of the UI updates are ribbon tools for borders and format setup, as well as contextual tabs for modifying the TextBox and Table items. One of the new and more important Q2 features are the Report Sources, because they add a natural abstraction to the different report formats, even...
