RadControls for Metro is the toolset for building Metro apps using either XAML or HTML for the marketplace and the enterprise. Both libraries offer the same user experience, functionality and behavior. Drawing from our expertise in XAML, HTML and Windows Phone technologies, RadControls for Metro are designed to offer functionality on top of the Windows 8 SDK with controls such as Charts, Gauges, DatePicker and more.

We are proud to announce the first Beta version of our Metro Charts available for both XAML and HTML

The controls are built with performance in mind so that they provide the ultimate experience on any device and screen-size running Windows 8 Metro. The controls support various chart-series, among which are Bar, Line, Area, Pie and Scatter charts. In addition, interactive features like Pan & Zoom as well as TrackBall and Tooltips are supported to enable you build rich and interactive applications for Windows 8.

A variety of radial, linear and numeric gauges are available for all your app’s needs – when you need to display distance, speed, duration or any other dynamic data.

In this first public Beta you can also  find other powerful input controls like Date and Time Pickers, AutoCompleteBox, ComboBox, DropDownList, NumericBox and Slider

Bringing our expertise from Windows Phone we designed date and time pickers entirely consistent with the Metro guidelines.

You can download the automatic installer containing all the components and sample demos under your accounts

We will be awaiting your feedback and comments in the public forums as well as through the support ticketing system.

Last but not least, don’t forget to join the launch of RadControls for Metro - the free webinar event that will be held on July 24th. We’ll be talking about what the benefits of developing for Windows 8 are, how you can leverage your XAML or HTML skills and how RadControls for Metro can help you be more productive. Two lucky winners will go home with a Windows 8 tablet (which they’ll receive, once the tablets are available in the stores) and 50 others will win free licenses for RadControls for Metro.
