    Get Organized with the RadPanelBar

If you have ever used Microsoft Outlook or Windows Explorer, you have seen the use of panels to organize content.  See Outlook 2007 screenshot below: This is a very useful method of organizing information that you want available to the user all the time.  Panels can house different functionality like managing options, navigating the application or displaying important details.  You can incorporate this same functionality in your applications using the RadPanelBar.  To get started, I thought it might be nice to create a Outlook like PanelBar with a calendar inside.  My goal is not to recreate what Outlook has done, but...

    RadMessageBox for WinForms

Hello folks. I am sure all of us are enjoying with Telerik’s good looking and reach theming mechanism for WinForms. But in every application there is a need for user interaction and very often it uses some type of question or message to guide the user what he is supposed to do.   I am sure that you have used the default WinForms MessageBox class and its Show method  The standard appearance of this message box, however, does not fit nicely in the slick design of an application built with RadControls for WinForms, and I know how boring it is to implement your own...

Custom format strings and DateTime support in RadChart for WPF

One of the most common requests we got after the Q3 2008 release was to improve our label customization. Well I believe many of you will be pleasantly surprised to learn that we will most certainly deliver on those expectations for the Q3 SP1 release and then some! This news is really twofold. WPF RadChart 3D Labels and Formatting

Today I decided to break the lengthy silence on my blog by writing about two of the features that will be included in the Q3 SP1 (mid-December), namely labels in 3D and labels formatting. Here are a couple of screenshots:   As the screenshots clearly show, the labels are simple 2D controls instead of 3D objects. As I wrote in an earlier blog post, that guarantees the labels will be readable at all times, and not hidden by other 3D objects (always on top of the Viewport). If you are interested in the implementation details, you can refer to the aforementioned blog...

    Animation with RadChart for WPF.

Hi everyone, My name is Velin Angelov. I am a member of Telerik's Charting team and here I am going to write about a feature of the RadChart for WPF which you might find useful while having fun with it. RadChart for WPF was shipped with the 2008.Q3 release and one feature all of the charts have in common is being animated. From this point on there are three options: You are absolutely happy (as you probably will) with the default animation settings provided by RadChart. In this case you simply keep on coding. You totally disagree with the way RadChart is animated and...
