Progress® Telerik® Report Server 2026 Q1 (12.0.26.402)

Explicit control over Table of Contents levels for report items
NEW
Report authors can now explicitly specify the level at which sections, groups, and items appear in the Table of Contents, instead of relying solely on the report hierarchy. This provides greater control over TOC structure and enables consistent, meaningful outlines across reports and report books.
Secure connectivity between Standalone Report Designer for .NET and Report Server for .NET
NEW
The Standalone Report Designer for .NET can now securely connect to Report Server for .NET using token‑based authentication. This enables report authors to open, edit, and publish reports directly to the server.
User permissions now allow more granular control over report access
NEW
We’ve enhanced the report access security by introducing a new permission rule, “Allow Reading Nested Reports,” which controls whether users can read reports embedded as sub-reports or included in a Report Book.

ObjectDataSource now supports async methods returning Task and ValueTask.
