Popups Overview

The Popups allow you to choose from a predefined list of options.

Basic Usage

The following example demonstrates the Notification and Tooltip components in action.

class PopupsContainer extends React.Component {
    constructor(props) {
            this.content = props.content;
            this.showPopUpNotification = this.showPopUpNotification.bind(this);

    showPopUpNotification = (e) => {'success');

    render() {
        return (
            <div className="example-wrapper">
                <div className="col-xs-12 col-sm-2 example-col">
                    <Tooltip content={this.content}>
                        Hover me
                <div className="col-xs-12 col-sm-6 example-col">
                    <button className="k-button" onClick={this.showPopUpNotification}>POPUP AT BOTTOM-RIGHT</button>
                    <Notification widgetRef={(widget) => this.popUpNotificationWidget = widget} />
    <PopupsContainer content={'Tooltip content'} />,

All components that you reference during the installation will be present in the final bundle of your application. To avoid ending up with components you do not actually need, import only the used component from the package.

  1. Download and install the package.

    npm install --save @progress/kendo-popups-react-wrapper
  2. Once installed, import the desired component from the package.

    import { Tooltip } from '@progress/kendo-popups-react-wrapper';

    The package also exports the following individual components:

    • Notification
    • Tooltip
  3. You are required to install one of the Kendo UI themes to style your components.

The Popups package requires you to install the following peer dependencies in your application:

  • @progress/kendo-ui
