Angular Window Events

Updated on Oct 27, 2026

The Kendo UI for Angular Window fires a number of events that enable you to update your application state when users interact with it.

The close event fires when the user clicks the Close button in the titlebar or presses Esc while the Window itself has focus. The dragStart and dragEnd events fire when the user starts and finishes dragging the Window, and the resizeStart and resizeEnd events fire when the user starts and finishes resizing it. The stateChange event fires when the user minimizes, maximizes, or restores the Window.

The widthChange, heightChange, topChange, and leftChange events fire as the user drags or resizes the Window. They provide the updated dimensions and position and support two-way binding of the corresponding properties.

The following example demonstrates all events the Window features. Interact with the Window to see its events in the log.
