I am running the 2020 R2 version and ran into what I believe is the same problem as "One could scroll past the first item leaving empty space above it" that is listed in the release history for 2020 R3. I am about to release and cannot really introduce a new version of these components right now, so is there some kind of workaround? I noticed that not all of my grids exhibit this behavior but was not able to distill the reason.

Hello Steve,

The issue you've referenced can be found in our feedback portal here. As described, the behavior is only observed when there isn't a vertical scrollbar visible, while performing a drag selection. Here is a short video that demonstrates the issue. I'm also attaching a small sample project for your reference with which the behavior can be replicated prior to the 2020.2.720 version of the controls.

Can you please have a look at these resources and let me know if the issue you observe is the same? If that is not the case, would you find it possible to isolate your issue in a small sample project and either open a new support ticket or provide a download link so that I can further investigate? Should you choose the latter option, please make sure to exclude all Telerik assemblies from the upload.

I watched the video and it does appear to be the same issue. I also found that making the scrollbar visible prevents it from happening, but wanted to see if there was another workaround before forcing all of the scrollbars to be visible for our release.

Hello Steve,

The described issue is resolved in the sample project when using our latest release (2020.3.915). Can you please confirm that you're using the same version (or newer) in your project where the behavior is still observed?

If this is indeed the case, please try to isolate the behavior in a small sample project so that I can further investigate at my end and assist you. Thank you in advance for your cooperation on the matter.

As I said in my initial post I cannot update to the latest right now because we are about to release and that would cause instability. The 2020 R3 version does fix the issue but I am asking if there is some workaround other than just forcing the scroll bars to be visible. It does not happen in all of my grids (even setting aside whether or not scrollbars are visible) so I thought that you may be able to tell me other settings that may affect is so that I can work around the issue.

Hi Steve,

Please excuse me for overlooking this detail.

I'm afraid there's no other workaround I can suggest at the time being as most of the members required for the fix are internal or private. One available approach you have at the moment is to create a custom build and apply the fix in the source code at your end.

Please let me know whether this would be possible for you.
