We have been evaluating telerik rad controls for winform for our new Project.
I have been searching on this forum for paging functionality in GridView for WinForm, but really disappointed to know that it is not currently available in GridView Control. I would really appreciate if Telerik releases a GridView control for winform with paging functinality, if grouping, filtering and other features are hard to implement, I would suggest that make two controls, one gridview with advance features one basic with paging feature or make it a feature whatever but really it is required when data is in bulk say more than 20,000 records.

Datafield property difference between v. 5030 and 6100

Hi Telerik.

My dataset look like this.

I have a main table (Passengers), which holds details of passengers connected to a group. in this table i have a GroupCabinsId which points to another table (GroupCabins) holding Available cabins for the specific group. In table GroupCabins i have an id called CabinId which points to another table (Cabins) where detials of the cabins is listed.

Below is listed the tables in the dataset.

Passengers            GroupCabins            Cabins
Id                            Id                               Id
Name                      CabinId                      Code
Gender
GroupCabinsId

i need to make a grid where i show the Name, Gender from passengers and Code from Cabins

This was no problem for me in version 5.0.3.0 of Telerik grid. where i manually added a GridviewTextBoxColumn and sat the DataField Property to GroupCabins.Cabins.Code

But as i have upgraded to version 6.1.0.0 this way no longer works. can anyone tell me what to do to make this work.?

Alternate Row Color

I am using Q2 2008. I have set EnableAlternatingRowColor to True.

I have two questions

1. Where do you set the color for the alternate row.

2. If you click on the column header to sort by that column, the alternate row color goes haywire, suddenly consecutive rows are colored. What is the fix?

Are FilterExpressions available for winform gridviews?... or is this a feature only for web applications?

VC# Express 2008 Usage

the license delivered with the version downloaded from the MS registration side says that it is a trial license.

Is this true?
can i just build demo versions with it, which i'm not allowed to distribute?

[Solved] Error when trying to access CommandBinding into a RadDropDownMenu

Hello !

Maybe this question as been already asked but I didn't find it.

Into an item of a RadDropDownMenu, when I click the button on the right of CommandBinding, I have a message box that say :

"Unable to cast object of type 'Telerik.WinControls.UI.RadSubMenuLayoutPanel' to type 'System.ComponentModel.IComponent'."

Do you have an idea of what is going wrong. I m' currently testing your product with the demo version...

radform corners

Hi,

Is there a way, on a Winform radform to control the corners? They are displaying faint and I have a request to either eliminate them, or add more depth to them.

A problem addNewRow

Dear Team!

I have a table ['Id', 'Num' , 'Price' 'Total'] where Total = Num*Price,
The Total column is readonly, When i type a value in Num colunm or Price column in 'Click here add new a row', i want to set the value to Total's cell is Num*Price

How to do it?

Is grouping by sub-objects possible?

Hi,
Is it possible to group by a sub-object, or at least display a sub-object in the grouping header?
I populate the grid with a list of documents, each of which has a Report object. Now I can display Report.Name as a column and I can also group by reportId, but what I'm trying to do is group by reportId and display Report.Name and Report.Date in the grouping header.

Is this possible? (I'm aware that I could accomplish this by databinding in a different way.)
