Why not "normal" dates

Why cannot telerik chart handle "normal" dates as opposed to having to convert these to double?

Hello Stefan Willebrand,

Since GDI works with double precision data to draw shapes and data the DateTime must be converted to double values at some poin of time in order to show correct ratios along the X-axis. These can be automatically converted to doubles during databinding, but this functionality gave way to other priorities since it is very easy to perform the conversion manually in the ItemDataBound event.
