Immediately after loading updated code to the website, IE6, 7 and 8 all intermittently fail to show the editor content for anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour. The content area shows the IE error "cannot load the website". The rest of the page is fine, the editor controls are all there, but nothing works on the page. Occasionally this does not happen but usually it does. I don't ever see the problem using FF, Opera, Chrome or Safari. As soon as I've used one of those browsers against the updated site, it starts working in IE too. I thought maybe it was something with my own computer setup, but a client reported the same thing while testing a development version of the new website. I am using the trial version at the moment, in case that matters. I ordered a license yesterday, so I will see soon if that changes anything. Any suggestions?

Hi Paul,

In fact you are the first person to report such a problem. I would guess you have some custom client-side script that does something to the editor (or the editor's iframe).  But then, it is really strange that things start working in IE once the page is requested by another browser.  This might suggest that you have some server-side/environment setting in the Web.config or the aspx page that  does something to IE.

You might also give it a try by examining the page with Microsoft Fiddler and establish whether all resources/requests get correctly served from the server to the client browser.

I am not able to provide a suggestion, but if you open a support ticket and send us a project that isolates and demonstrates the problem we will be able to determine the reason and get back to you.
