Currently we are using Telerik ASP.NET Core 2024.2.514 and in MVC HtmlHelper methods such as Kendo().DatePickerFor() do not support properties of C# type DateOnly.

Is this supported in a version later than we are using or is if not is it on project plans for future inclusion?

Same applies for TimeOnly.

Hello Peter,

At this stage, I'm afraid that we have not yet introduced support for both the DateOnly and TimeOnly structs.

We have a Feature Request on the support for DateOnly with the DatePicker components:

Feedback Portal Item - https://feedback.telerik.com/aspnet-core-ui/1594258-dateonly-type-support

Feel free to cast your vote to increase the item's priority.

For the Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core suite, we have not given any exact estimates on whether such a feature could be potentially introduced. However, I see that there is a rising trend for this feature and have raised to my manager in order to prioritize it in our roadmaps.

Yes, I saw that feedback item you linked to a couple of days ago and have already up voted it.

DateOnly and TimeOnly have been in .NET since v6.0, nearly 3 years ago. It's way past time for both these types to be supported. Now these types are available to us it would be possible to use them for things like dates of birth, start/end dates for filtering etc... All places where the time is irrelevant but up until now, we've had to make to with using DateTime. Now .NET has caught up to where SQL Server is.
