I evaluated the WPF gauge controls a few version ago, and the controls in the demo were very different (nicer, I think). They were so nice that I used a screen shot to capture them and bring it directly into my photoshop design. I've finally completed the design phase and am ready to bring the code back in, but I can't seem to find the source code example to make the gauge look like what I saw in the demo.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Have the controls changed so drastically that I can't use the old design? I've attached an image of the control I borrowed from an earlier telerik demo...
Any chance this sample code is still laying around you can share?

Hello Robert,
As you said our gauges (since Q3 2011 and included in the DataVisualization assembly) have simple and quite flat default themes. Our idea was to introduce simple structure which can be easily customized.
Changing the main colors of a gauge can be easily done by using the exposed OuterBackground, OuterBorderBrush,OuterBorderThickness, InnerBackground and InnerBorderBrush properties. However if you need the exact look from the screenshot (especially the geometry), then it will be best to create a Custom Template.
Let me know how this works for you and whether you need further assistance.

Sia

Sia,
Thanks. You wouldn't happen to have the code for this particular gauge [template] kicking around, would you? It seems silly for me to try and reproduce something that's already been done (fantastically, I'll add).

Hello Robert,
Please find a sample how to customize our Gauge from the DataVizualization assembly to look like the old one. Have in mind that we still distribute the old Gauge with our Telerik.Windows.Controls.Gauge assembly but we do not introduce new features there.

Sia,
I had the older version of the demo installed on my home computer.
I wanted to comment that the older demo is infinitely more impressive than the current demo. In fact, I downloaded the DevExpress demo from your competitor in search of the best looking gauge, and there's very little that sets your demo apart from theirs.
On the other hand, your earlier gauge demos clearly set your tools apart from the competition. If I could suggest including both simple AND complex designs in your demo, that would be fantastic. From personal experience I can say that in looking for a UI toolset, I'm more interested in how impressive the controls CAN look. Also, like may other shops, we don't have in-house designers, and the "Stock" templates are as good as we're going to get :) Providing great templates would be a great selling point. There's nothing more RAD than copy / paste :)
Thanks.

Hello Robert,
We appreciate your feedback. I have already forwarded it to our designers and management.
Again just to let you know that the old design is still available with our Telerik.Windows.Controls.Gauge assembly but we do not do any new development there and recommend our new Gauge control to be used in new projects (from the DataVisualization assembly).
Thank you again that you shared your opinion. We will do our best to make our demos better.
