so i have read the html considerations but still i cant get column headers and details to line up .. is there some trick to this

I'm having the same problem.  The report looks fine in Preview, but is skewed in HTML Preview.  Detail textboxes do not appear under their headers, lines are moved, etc.  If I attempt to move textboxes around, I can get some of them to line up, but in every attempt when I move a box to far it appears way off in the report, no where near the header.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

To achieve table-like layout you may consider using the docking functionality of the report items described in the Dynamic Layout documentation article. You can also open support ticket and send your report definitions so that we can review them locally and try to find the exact reason for the items displacement.
