I have a requirement to display information that is arranged as a web. What I mean by this is a hierarchical structure but each node can also have multiple parents. The connections between nodes have a weighting, which ideally would be displayed in some way either graphically, by width or colour, or by a label.

This is being developed as part of a web application.

Is there anything in the Telerik toolset which could help with this?

Hello Rob,

The widget from our tool set that might be helpful in such scenario is the TreeMap. The Kendo UI TreeMap widget displays hierarchical data in a traditional tree structure. It also support different rendering types such us Squarified, Vertical and Horizontal(slice and dice algorithm). I am afraid, though, that certain node cannot be displayed as child for different parents, because it will contradict with the vitalization of the component.

Please refer to the online demos and documentation of the widget, in order to evaluate whether it will suite your scenario:

http://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/controls/charts/treemap/overview

http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/treemap/index

Please let me know, should you have any further questions.

Regards,
Nencho
