There is no documentaton for the virtualViewSize property of the MobileListView.  There is only a demo... which fails to answer many questions, such as... how does this work?  I"m working of local data not odata so the demo doesn't show how i would set up paging for local data.

Hi Mark,

indeed, the virtualViewSize is not yet documented, since the local data virtualization is a relatively new feature.

The virtualViewSize configuration option is required if you need to use local data. It works just like the pageSize datasource option in the remote data scenario – 1/2 of it gives the total number of items displayed at any moment. This means that virtualViewSize=80 will result in 40 items in total.

So if I have a datasourse populated with local data, should I not be using the datasource.pageSize property and instead this property?

Also is there any way to use virtualization woth grouping?

Hello Mark,

yes, this is correct. You can start from the working demo and swap the sample data with yours. Unfortunately, grouping is not supported in virtual mode currently.
