I have a scheduler configured for adaptive rendering and want to display a custom template on event selection as read-only, ie. if the user taps on an event, I want a custom template to display with more detail information about the event, like the editor template, but do no want allow creating, updating or destroying.

Is there a way to assign a template to the select event?

Thanks.

Hi Cyndie,

The described behavior is not supported out of the box and it would require custom solution. For example you can attach "touch" event on all elements with "k-event" class in which to use the scheduler and it's dataSource APIs to access the underlying model by the element "uid". Then you can open new KendoUI window and display the required details.
