I am looking at upgrading from angular 7.0 to 7.2. In the angular upgrade guide (https://update.angular.io/) one of the steps is to upgrade rxjs and remove rxjs-compat. I have noticed that many of the kendo packges require rxjs-compat. Can I safely upgrade per instructions or will removing rxjs-compat cause issues with kendo angular components.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Sorry for the late response.

Currently, rxjs-compat is required dependency for our packages. We will update all our packages to support Angular 6+ (including 8 when the version is officially released) with no need of loading rxjs-compat, and with no support for Angular 5 and below. Also, we will update our documentation to inform for the changes.

Let me know if any further assistance is required for Kendo UI for Angular.

Regards,
Martin
