Unable to load package information from registry

I am new at Kendo UI. Already I add the date module normally as a quick cli setup. But when I want to add another module this trough an error. 

Example:

Unable to load package information from the registry: Response timeout while trying to fetch https://registry.npmjs.org/@progress%2fkendo-angular-inputs (over 300000ms)

It is hard to determine what causes this error based on the provided information, but this kind of error seems to relate to a slow internet connection or another local issue rather than to one related to a Kendo UI for Angular component. 

Do you still experience the same issue? If yes, please describe the steps you are taking in order to get this error or alternatively provide a code example so we can investigate the reasons further.
