Hi

I am struggling at every step at the moment.  I have a report and a subreport and both preview they are in the same solution.  when i try to define the reportsource to  the subreport i get an error

type mysolution.mysubreport is not defined.

Please can someone shed light on where i am going wrong with this.

Many thanks

Al

Hi Al,

Are you following our best practices and have the reports in a separate class library referenced in your web/win application? If so, how do you set the ReportSource of the subreport item? You can follow the steps for setting up master-detail scenario from this help article: Creating Master-Detail Reports Using SubReports.

Thanks Steve

I am not, i was doing some testing and following on of the Webinars.  If I use the designer to create the reference to my subreport then i have the issue, however, if i use code behind to create the reference then there is no problem.
