The Kendo UI for Angular TreeView does not have a built-in filtering functionality yet. If you have the time, please support the following feature request in our UserVoice portal:

It helps us estimate the customer demand for certain features and enhancements and prioritize accordingly when updating our roadmap. Thank you in advance.
Meanwhile, you will need to either implement some custom solution for filtering the data items manually, depending on the desired functionality and the type of data (flat/hierachical, homogenous/heterogenous), and the value of an external INPUT element.
