ToolbarMode: mix between ShowOnFocus and Floating

Hello,

I used the RadEditor in Moss. And my client want a mix between the 2 mode ShowOnFocus and [PageTop].

ShowOnFocus because when the top of the textbox is visible, it's strange to have the toolbar at the top of the Windows.
[PageTop] because if the user scroll down and the top textbox is not visible, he cannot access the toolbar.
Moreover I have a bug with the [PageTop] mode, the text cursor is flashing very fast which is very tiring.

Do you know I can do that ? by adding javascript to the page ? by modifying the RadEditor .js ?

Hi Pascal,

In Q1 2010 SP2 (version 2010.1.519) we fixed a High CPU usage and cursor blink rate problem when ToolbarMode="PageTop". That is why my suggestion is to download and test the latest version 5.7.3 of RadEditor for MOSS and confirm whether the problem is fixed.

Ps: I make a mistake. My client would like a mix between the modes ShowOnFocus and PageTop.
Is it possible ? How can I do it ?

Hi Pascal,

RadEditor does not offer the ability to customize its different toolbar modes. You can use only the currently provider modes and could not modify their behavior.

I was also not able to reproduce this problem:
[PageTop] because if the user scroll down and the top textbox is not visible, he cannot access the toolbar.

The PageTop toolbar should be always visible on the top of the page when the editor takes focus. If you scroll down the PageTop toolbar should stay visible too. Please, see the attached video at http://screencast.com/t/Y2UyZDZlMjIt. Am I missing something?
