I am trying to evaluate the reporting tools in and ASP.NET (VB) application. I followed the 'Creating a simple report' example in the Help file and I get the following message after I rebuild the application and click on Preview :
'the source of the report definition has not been specified'

Hello James,

This error occurs when you assign null or do not assign a report, but should not appear in Preview and we were not able to reproduce this on our end. Generally you should Connect the Report to Data first, then set appropriate Expressions for the report items so they can show data.
If you still need help, it would be best to provide us with a sample that exhibits the problem in a support ticket.

What was the outcome of this. I get the same error.
The report builds fine thru the wizard. It finds the DB tables etc. But preview just shows this
"the source of the report definition has not been specified"

I was trying to create the report in a web application, not in a class.
