Hello,
It seems that there is an issue when projects are under TFS source control. When saving the solution or after committing changes, visual studio hangs 5 to 10 minutes. I don't have this issue when telerik extensions are not installed.
When I analyze the devenv.exe execution, I see the call to Telerik.VSX.SolutionManagement.TfsSolutionStorage.CommintAllFiles is called. What is the role of this method?
Regards.

Thank your for contacting us.
How many files are you trying to commit at once when you are experiencing the described issue?
The role of this method to check if the file really need to be checked-in (for example, the file is checked-out, but no actual changes are made).
Give us more details, so we can investigate the issue.
Looking forward to your response.

Hi,
In my solution I have 5 projects:
- 2 test projects with 1 class file
- 2 windows dll project with 10 and 20 files
- 1 windows app (your erp sample project)
I have the issue even if there is 1 file to checkin.
Regards
It seems you are experiencing connectivity issues, regardless of the number of files that are being added to source control.
Do you experience similar problems if you are using our VS extensions, but not adding the solution to source control?
Do you experience any lag/slow connection to TFS without our VS extensions?
Looking forward to your response.

Hi,
I have 1Gb/s connection to the internet and I don't have any issues with projects that have hundreds of files usually.
As I said in my first post, I only have this high latency when telirik VSX are installed. Check-in one hundred pending files takes less than 10 seconds without Telerik VSX. If installed, even when I have one pending files, it takes 5mn.
I have tried installing/uninstalling VSX a few times and tried with many projects. I have only this issue when your VSX are installed.

Jérôme
Can you answer the following questions:
1. What is your TFS version?
2. What is your VisualStudio version? Do you experience similar problems with different VisualStudio versions as well?
3. Have you ever experienced similar issue with our VS extensions in the past (is this a regression bug or not?).
Looking forward to your response.

We don't officially support Visual Studio Online.
You are the first customer that experiences problems with Visual Studio Online or you are the first one that raises them.
Currently, we can't offer you any workaround.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Steliyan,
The source control Visual Studio Online or TFS (on-premise), is used in 80% of the professional configurations. If you don't support source control solutions, why using it in your VS extensions?
What are the source control tools supported by your company?
Best Regards,
Jerome
TFS on-premise (as you say) is supported, however, our VS extensions are not tested against Visual Studio Online (I think now it is called Team Services). They may work, but we are not officially supporting it. As in your case, some issues appear.
The more confusing thing is that we haven't actually changed the code regarding the source control integration in our most recent releases of our VS extensions, so if everything was working fine before, it should work fine now, too, unfortunately it isn't working properly for you.
Thank you for your understanding.

Steliyan
