Text box height auto adjust after exporting to word from Telerik reporting

Hi,

I have a Telerik report and after exporting the report to a word document the text box size should be auto adjusted in the exported file based on the amount of data entered in the text box. Right now text box size is not auto adjusting based on the amount of data entered. Is there any way to achieve this after exporting to the word document?

Hello Neela,

Generally this functionality can be achieved by setting the CanShrink property of the TextBox item to true. Another approach is to set a small height for Textbox item and it will grow according to its content. Give it a try and let us know whether you have managed to produce the desired effect.

we have tried the approach you stated but that did not helped much,

what exactly is required is after exporting the report to a word document the Textbox size in the word document should grow dynamically as per the data entered in that Textbox.

First of all i would like to know is that achievable as once the report is exported to word it is just a word document unlike any other documents irrespective of the document is generated by Telerik or some other tool.

please advice.

Hi,
I have noticed that checkbox don't render as checkbox but renders like a shape when the report is exported to word.Secondly,After The Report is exported the textbox doesn't Resize itself horizontally nor vertically whenever a user types text into textbox in the word although cangrow is true.

Hi,

The export functionality aims at presenting a document that is as close to the original report seen in the viewer, as possible. It does not aim to create a document which is easily editable afterwards and there aren't any options that you can set to change that behaviour.
