In the process of upgrading from version 2013.3.1204 to 2014.2.0729, I notice that Charting is no longer a part of the Xamlless build.  And, indeed, the documentation here:
http://www.telerik.com/help/silverlight/styling-apperance-implicit-styles-overview.html
says that its use with implicit styles is not supported.

- Is this a temporary measure?
- Are there alternatives?  Has the functionality in that dll been superseded by functionality elsewhere?

We are currently using RadChart and SeriesMappingCollection from that library.

Thanks!

Hello David,

Our RadChart control has never supported implicit styling mechanism. That is why its Charting.dll is missing in the Binaries.NoXaml folder that we distribute in both versions that you mentioned.

Since you said that you already use RadChart, I suppose that you are migrating from XAML to NoXaml binaries. If that is true, the migration from RadChart to RadChartView is possible and we will help you in this process. Just send us your current configuration of RadChart. A comparision of RadChart and RadChartView can be found in our help.

Our RadChartView is actually a set of controls - RadCartesianChart, RadPieChart, RadPolarChart and ChartDataSource. It has a much better performance rate than RadChart, it is very flexible and easy to set up, and it resolves many of the limitations that the old chart had.

Thank you very much!  We will plan to migrate our use of RadChart to RadChartView.
