Hello, our developers are currently testing a project on the Telerik Reporting Trial version.
Is there a page that provides information on the restrictions of the Trial version?

For instance, we have the Power Point export available in DocumentFormat.OpenXml.dll Export Format while testing, but missing the PPT export when the project is deployed.

Also, we see that there are misalignments when using shapes or highlighting borders and exporting to PPT or PDF.
The style that we implement do not show properly.
Is this a generally known issue in Telerik itself or just in the Trial version?

We see a lot of page breaking and misalignment issues when using IE Compatibility mode.
What are the recommended IE Browser version and settings?

Please let us know so we could further explore and decide whether to purchase or not.
Thank you!

Hello Michael,

In general there are no technical limitations in the products during its trial period:
  1. About the PowerPoint export after deploying, please check if all needed references were deployed to your server: Deploying Web Applications. If on the server is installed an older DocumentFormat.OpenXml.dll version, check if it is not interacting with your application.
  2. If by any chance you have not tested with our latest internal build, please give it a try, because we have fixed an issue with the Shape item rendering. The latest internal builds for all downloaded products can be found after logging into your account and navigating to Products & Subscriptions ->Latest Internal Builds.
  3. In Internet Explorer we recommend using <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge" /> to avoid rendering the page in Compatibility mode or chrome frame.
Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Kind regards,
Stef
