Hi,

I'm trying to convert a existing XtraReport to Telerik report because I need Arabic language support and RTL.

After creating I new Telerik report, I'm using 'Telerik Report Wizard 'after selecting 'Convert from existing Report', I don't see any available converter.

I have installed v7.3 of DevExpress because that was a remark while using v7.1

Is there any suggestion for this issue?

Kind regards,

Stijn S.

Hello Stijn,

If we understand correctly you were seeing the XtraReports converter, but the "Browse" button was disabled and after you installed version 7.3.3.0 of XtraReports all of the converters disappeared? That is very weird. Is this the case?

If you have a version newer than 7.3.3.0, please take a look at the following forum thread.

From the start I haven't seen any converters in the list, this my problem.

Is there also a solution for that?

Hello Stijn,

It seems that for some reason the assemblies for the converters could not be located and loaded on your machine. This could happen for a number of reasons. You can determine the reason for the load failure by using Fusion Log.

The assembly that you should be looking for in the fusion log is Telerik.ReportConverter.XtraReports7.dll

Please, run the Fusion Log utility to determine the reason for the load failure and write us back with the results. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your previous  support,  it helped to find the converter DLL that was missing in my GAC.

After installing the missing DLL to my GAC, the XtraReport converter is recognized.

Now I'm stuck in the next step that 'Requires Developer Express XtraReports v7.3 (Build 7.3.3.0)' but I will have a look at  forum thread.

Thx,

Stijn S.

I have tried the 'KB article' to redirect the assembly but I got no result.

When I selected the converter, I still get the message from previous post.

Is there something special I have to do?

Hi Stijn,

Can you send us the Fusion Log generated when you start Visual Studio, the devenv.exe.config file of your Visual Studio and a screen-shot of your GAC with the all DevEx assemblies visible. Without these three components we will not be able to guess what is going wrong on your machine.

All the best,
