I'm using VS2008 with 2009-Q1 reporting. The reporting menu is missing. How do I get it to appear?

Hi John W Wilson,
With the new version of Telerik Reporting - 2009 Q1 - we have introduced a common Telerik menu for all our products that extend the Visual Studio functionality in any way. So all Telerik Reporting related commands are moved in Telerik -> Reporting menu. Unfortunately we haven't got the chance to update all documentation and other support materials to reference the new Visual Studio menu. Up until then when you see a reference to the old "Telerik Reporting" please consider the new Telerik -> Reporting menu.
Greetings,
Svetoslav

I have to say that in general you need to spend more time on documenting an excellent product!
And thank you, yes I have the Telerik menu, but all it has in there is one item 'About'. There are no other menu items. So the question remains, how do I get the menus to display?

Up until now we haven't got any problems with the Reporting menu in Visual Studio. Since this is the first case we need some more information regarding your configuration - OS version, available Visual Studio versions, MS SQL Server, available Telerik Reporting versions, other Telerik products (especially if you have installed Telerik OpenAccess or RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Visual Studio Extensions). Any other information that you consider helpful will be appreciated as well.
In order to install Telerik Reporting properly we recommend to use an user account with administrative privileges and make sure you have closed all instances of Visual Studio. We will appreciate if you can try reinstalling (repairing the installation won't change anything) Telerik Reporting once again.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for the cooperation.
Best wishes,
Svetoslav

I'm using XP Pro SP3, with SQL Server Pro 2005 and SQL Server 2008 Express (adv). I have an AMD64 chip with 2Gb Ram. I'm using VS2008, though I do have a version of 2005 also installed. I have not, and did not, nor do I intend, to load Telerik into VS2005
Previous installations:
I had previously installed Win Forms and Reporting - both 2008 Q3. excluding the VS2005 addin. I then installed Win Forms 2009 Q1 and Reporting 2009 Q1 and then uninstalled Win Forms 2008 Q3 and Reporting 2008 Q3 - as the later versions arrived the next day.
Current state:
I uninstalled both Win Forms 2009 Q1 and Reporting 2009 Q1. I reinstalled both (Win Forms, then Reporting) excluding the VS2005 addin in both cases.
The Telerik menu item is there, but the only improvement now is that I have a Reporting - Update Wizard menu item (which works)

Hello John W Wilson,
Having "Reporting" sub-menu under the "Telerik" menu means that now everything is OK.
As described in the Telerik Reporting Menu article there are 4 options. The "Upgrade Wizard" option is always available while the other 3 are available only if the Report Designer is active. So if you open a Report in design mode (not code) you will see all the 4 options available.
