I have Telerik.Reporting v19.1.25.521 to generating PDF files. After upgrading License nuget to version 1.6.16 all SVG files stopped rendering.

Moving back to previous version fixes issue. Tried the latest available nuget 1.6.21 and problem persists.

How can this happen? How can License checked nuget break report functionality?

Hi René,

I am sorry to hear that you have run into issues with the new licensing mechanism.

If I understand correctly, when you generate a PDF file using a newer version of the Telerik.Licensing NuGet package, the SVG files stop rendering. However, everything works as expected when you use an older version.

I checked your profile, and it seems you don’t have a license for Telerik Reporting. This might be contributing to the issue you're experiencing. In this article, you can read more about how to solve the problem - Fixing License Errors in Telerik Reporting Runtime - Telerik Reporting.

To be able to assist you better, could you please provide a bit more information? Would you be willing to share your project with me so I can test it and try to find a solution to the issue? It would also be very helpful if you could show me what happens when you use the newer version of Telerik.Licensing and what happens when you use the older version.

If you are hesitant to send your project here, you can open a ticket and provide the details there.

Looking forward to your next reply.

Regards,
Ivet

Hi Ivet,

I'm developer, owner/maintaner of all company licenses is my employer. As you can check I just asking questions and reporting bugs in other Telerik forums for many years as same as contributiong in Kendo Git repos. So yes, there is no license on my account, because I'm just employee. Is always quicker to ask directly from dev perspective then send "qustions" to managers to post them on forums. Or not?

Well and for question - it is simple, with old nuget, PDF contains SVG, with a new nuger, SVG is not there. I'll create sample application to reproduce this, because it is not possible to share our applications.

Best regards,

René

Hello Rene,

I reproduced the issue. We’ll need some time to investigate why it’s happening. Therefore, I’ll log this bug internally on the public portal, cast a vote on your behalf to help increase its priority, and subscribe you to updates on the work item.

I will open a support ticket to describe what I did to reproduce the issue.
