Will these be supported in the WPF version? How about in the Silverlight version?
Thank you very much.

We are trying to keep our Silverlight and WPF versions in sync, so the following goes for both.
Unfortunately, bookmarks and Word content controls have not been scheduled yet and there is no timeline for when they are going to be supported. However, if all goes according to plan in Q1 2011 we will be introducing features like mail-merge and read-only sections that may be suitable for your case.
If you'd like, you can elaborate a little on your scenario and the means you would find useful for its fulfillmentq so we can have a better overview of the requirements.
Looking forward to your reply.

What we would like to do is import a docx file with either content controls or bookmarks into the RadRichTextBox, edit the data within those content controls/bookmarks, then save it again as a docx file keeping the content controls/bookmarks intact.
Our goal is to be able to mark/identify certain areas of a docx file. Thank you very much.
Thank you for the follow-up.
The features you are looking for won't be available in the official Q1 Release and it is unlikely that a workaround could be found.
We will, however, have them in mind for future improvements of the control and additional features.

I'm not completely sure how this feature of the RadRichTextBox work
Would that allow me to design Word-like templates?
Thank you very much.
Embedding Silverlight UI elements by using RadRichTextBox's InlineUIContainer may be used to achieve Word-like template editing expericence, but I stress here, not designed for this. Until official support for this is here, custom implementations are possible, but most likely, they will require significant work on your part and may not provide optimal user experience (due to the extent of the API), unlike officially supported features, which are well designed with the user in mind.
