Styling inconsistencies during upgrade

I upgraded Telerik UI ASP.NET Core NuGet package from 2018.1.226 to 2021.1.119. The application contained references https://kendo.cdn.telerik.com/2018.1.221/*. (I'm not sure why there was an inconsistency between 226 and 221.) When I change all the cdn references to https://kendo.cdn.telerik.com/2021.1.119/*, there are many small styling inconsistencies throughout the application. Should have approach have given me the same styling? Did I do something wrong?

Hi Steve,

Talking in general, there are different theme improvements that we add in each version we release. Having this in mind, there is a three years gap between the current and the previous product versions that you used. 

If there are custom CSS styles applied to your project, these styles may need refactoring to be compatible with the latest version of the Kendo UI theme that you use. 

To answer your question, you didn't do anything wrong. You just have to configure the custom styles according to the requirements of the latest themes.

If there are no custom styles applied to your project, I will need more details about the styling inconsistency that you've shared.
