I see the error message below in my console on Chrome. Is this going to be a problem? (I am using version 2016.3.1027). I also see this error on your demo pages.

The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://d2i2wahzwrm1n5.cloudfront.net will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.

Hi Dan,

This warning is displayed due to Google Chrome’s Plan to Distrust Symantec Certificates, see this Google Security Blog article for more information on this matter:

I know about that. My concern is that Telerik scripts and css are being loaded using that certificate. When Chrome 70 ships, it will no longer load those files, breaking my site. I would like to know that this will be resolved, either by Telerik or by CloudFront, before this happens.

Hi Dan,

Amazon are aware of the problem and are in the process of updating their certificates. Chrome 70 is scheduled for the Autumn of 2018 and by then either Amazon would have updated the certificates, or, we would have changed them to a third party provider.

Thus, this will not become a real issue

On side note, you may find interesting the following example that can be a starting point for having a CDN fallback, even though such a feature is not officially available or supported: https://www.telerik.com/support/code-library/cdn-fallback.
