After importing data from an Excel file into the Kendo spreadsheet, all the alignment is off (by the width of the "row number column").

Please note - this only happens when the number of columns is quite larger - I have around 50, and the spreadsheet has a lot of horizontal scrolling to see all the columns. I guess when importing, and working out the location of the 'cells', it does not account for the width of the column which shows the row number.

Hello Marc,

This is not a known issue and it was not reproduced in my testing scenarios.

Could you please check if the issue still occurs when the file is imported using our demo example:

http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/server-side-import-export

- If the issue occurs there also, please send us the Excel file so we can test it on our side.

- If the issue does not occur in the demo, I can assume that it occurs because of a custom logic which we are overlooking at this moment. Sending a runnable example will help to locate the issue and provide a suggestion best suited for it.

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

As I mentioned in the second post on this thread - this only happens when the number of columns is quite large. I believe it has tobe enough columns to force the component to render the horizontal scrollbar.

Hello Marc,

I did import a file with 90 columns using the provided demo example and it is working as expected.

Could you please confirm that importing the file using the demo is causing a misalignment again or not. This will help us determine if there is anything specific with the data in the file, or with the custom implementation of the Spreadsheet.

I will be expecting the additional information to continue with the investigation.

Regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your help with this matter. I did some debugging and it turns out it is an issue with my code, not yours.

Thanks again!

Marc
