Hi...

Just wondering if there are plans to create a Spell Check control for WPF?  I know that WPF has some native spell checking available, but it is lacking in some features...most notably, the ability to manage the dictionary.

So, please let me know if you have plans and, if so, when we might expect to see such a control.

Thanks,
..Douglas

Hello Douglas Williams,

A Spell Check control will come natively with our RadEditor for WPF. Since we are still in a research phase for these controls they will not come live before Q1 2010.

Kind regards,

Hi...
I forgot to ask, but are there plans to allow for users to manage the dictionary (add items) in your spell check control?

thanks,

Hello Douglas Williams,

Yes - there are such plans, I'm not sure if we are going to make it for the first release however.

Thanks for the feedback!

That is good news..but too bad it won't be in v1.  We have a tremendous need for a user-managed dictionary (lots of medical terms).  What about support for other languages?

Hi Douglas Williams,

it is too early to discuss in details the Spellcker component. I don't want to promise anything until we have finalized the set of feature that we will support for v1. Ofcourse the multilanguage support is part of our long term plans.

Thanks again for yout feedback - I updated your telerik points.

Hi Aran Mulholland,

Our plans are to deliver the spell check functionality after our Q3 2010 release. Unfortunately we cannot be more precise in our estimations at this moment.

Best wishes,
Hristo

+1 for spellchecker to bad we need to wait so long :( also would be great if it would check in real time like Office does :) but its just a wish.

OT: why no one is answering in other topics? i asked few questions on forum, and have no answer:/
